Jubilee International Studies Club

JoAnna Arnold- Sponsor

An international club at our school will provide students additional opportunities to become involved in service projects, both locally and internationally.  This club will more specifically help students answer the question: 'What will you do with what you are learning?" Any student enrolled at our school who wishes to participate in this extra-curricular activity may join.

Mission Statement:

As a member of this organization, students will:

  • Engage others as part of a global community by effectively communicating in foreign languages
  • Identify the differences that make them unique and gain respect for the talents and contributions of others
  • Appreciate the diversity in our community and these effects on American culture
  • Utilize their new skills so they can be applied in the real world
  • Emerge as dynamic members of our school and embrace the challenges of making a meaningful difference

Dues will be $20.00 per academic school year. The proceeds from this money will be designated to offset the costs for:

  • cultural field trips
  • service projects designed by the students
  • technology to be used with the foreign language classes
  • medals recognizing academic excellence in French and Spanish for awards programs at the end of the year.
  • School international fair, fiestas, or celebrations
  • any other project or need that the club wishes to participate in during the school year
  • technology to enhance foreign language education
  • supplies needed for classroom activities throughout the school year

One time during the school year, the club may participate in a fundraising event to further support the service project they have chosen.
